“The development addresses the challenges of expanding a fully functioning medical city while minimizing the impact of critical operations, it meets world-class standards in care delivery and caters to a new generation of patients and medical professionals.” – Ahmad Soueid, AIA, HDR’s project executive.
In 2020 a journey of evolution, automation and digitalization started between DIGINATION, one of the leading technology consultation firms in the Middle East, established in 2010 and specialized in Digital Transformation solutions & services, becoming a full-service entity that has the strategic thinking and planning where we provide all management & operation services in a new level of evolving, with King Saud Medical City, a Ministry of Health tertiary hospital established in 1954, and currently, it has 1,400 bed capacity with +8,000 employees.
With the expansion of KSMC and the increase in its capacity to accommodate patients and cases, it became difficult for departments to keep pace with archiving, searching and retrieving paper documents manually, which led to the consumption of a lot of time and cost, in addition to KSMC accustomed to using multiple ECM systems, causing different problems during the process of data replication and transmission, so all data had to be migrated to a central ECM system to ensure data synchronization and consistency, all these difficulties were easy to solve by OnBase Products implemented for Digination Solutions!
With OnBase, it was easy to design solutions that meet KSMC’s specific needs, as OnBase is modular by design, speeding up processes and reducing costs by capturing important information into one system.
From the point of capture all the way until final disposition, information is efficiently and securely managed by Enterprise Content Management (ECM), one solution can contain all processes and technologies that support businesses in capturing, storing, delivering and using essential information.
Digination was able to produce the optimum results from digital solutions through professional services and data conversion services that provided maximal simplification of the implementation process, as the implementation of applications and systems integration is an essential part of the development journey dedicated to KSMC.
Implementation Services depend on practicing a plan or following a specific model or standard during the process of creating and operating digital solution correctly. These operations include:
As KSMC was always able to adapt to the ever-changing medical knowledge, extended collaboration and optimization beyond its organization was essential for next-level growth. Now is the right time to drive operational agility and open new revenue streams through trusted data exchange and workflow automation beyond the entity boundaries.
The use of digital solutions and services had a great impact in facilitating the process of dealing with papers and documents, as these processes were fully automated, which led to saving great time and effort on all parties responsible for managing and following up on these works.
Despite that Digital transformation looks like a various complicated things, but it’s no longer optional, so, as much as KSMC was preparing for its leading in the medical field, going beyond any competition, they adopted digital-first strategy to achieve this vision.
Digital transformation was the strategic, ongoing practice of implementing new technologies and processes across all areas of an organization, embracing this evolution helped KSMC to become more flexible, innovative, and efficient.
Since our cooperation in 2020, our company team has practically studied the requirements and objectives of KSMC in order to propose the best digital solutions and technology services and to create a roadmap based on three steps that help achieve the goals of digital transformation and reach the results expected by KSMC, the map This path outlined an overall strategy to begin the journey of digital transformation.
